What is boiling in the pot?
The Lifog district is preparing for a major renovation that will affect several areas, from energy to education, with the aim of improving the quality of school life and energy efficiency.
Here are the main actions being taken:
1. State-of-the-art photovoltaic system: the installation of photovoltaic panels will guarantee the energy autonomy of the entire district, reducing environmental impact and management costs. The friends of "Un Chicco per l'Africa - ODV", together with our association, are currently installing the panels purchased on site. The system consists of 12 panels, an inverter with a control unit, and two batteries. It will supply electricity to the nine primary school classes, the kindergarten, the clinic, and the administration office.
2. Enhanced WiFi connection: The "Un Chicco per l'Africa" volunteers themselves will install WiFi repeaters and an enhanced network infrastructure that will hopefully ensure a stable and fast connection in all classrooms, enabling innovative and digital teaching. One of the goals is to be able to connect students from two Italian schools via video calls.
3. New classroom for up-to-date teaching: The construction of a new classroom, designed according to the latest local pedagogical guidelines, will provide an ideal space for students to learn and grow.
4. Renovation of the kindergarten floor: The kindergarten floor will be renovated to ensure safety, comfort, and a welcoming environment for the little ones.
These interventions represent a significant investment in the future of the Lifog district, with the aim of creating a state-of-the-art, sustainable school environment that best meets the needs of students and staff.
